ワシントン条約締約国会議において大西洋・地中海産クロマグロの国際商業取引を原則禁止するモナコ提案が反対多数で否決されたニュースです。リクエストを頂いていたのもあるし、個人的にすごく興味があったので中国の反応をお伝えしようといろいろ探してみたのですが、思うようにコメントが集まりませんでした。すいません。どうやら中国は日本を支持したことをあまり知られたくない様子（？）と言うことで中国の反応をあきらめて、今回は海外の反応（アメリカ中心）にしてみました。これで今回はご容赦を。設定はちょっと過激めかも・・

Tuna has become very popular in other countries since the 1980s, particularly in the US of A, when Japanese food became popular. There was no shortage of bluefin tuna before that. Sushi bars sprouted everywhere in the US and elsewhere, and the most popular dishes were bluefin tuna (maguro). That's when the tuna began disappearing. So blaming the Japanese is the same ole American excuse - Always blame someone else for the problem.

Believe me or not, Japan does care about extinction, since extinction of sea resources would be the most problematic to Japan than to any other nations. Japan fished under its quota, while many other nations such as Meditteranean countries exceeded their quotas. So, obviously, there should be stricter regulations. But, totally banning the exports is a bit extreme I think.
